August 2013 in a nutshell

Who wouldn't want a sticker facial!
This summer we did something that I am so excited about!!!  We purchased a campsite at Campers Hideaway.  It's just 30 minutes from our house, comes with this old funky camper, and I just know will be a perfect family getaway for so many years to come.  A place we can go to hideaway, just as the name of the facility says.  Here's to many memories in the making!
Here she is in all her glory.  The best part is when you are looking out from the camper, you only see the woods.  No one else.  Is just so good for the soul.
We also did our first long beach trip as a family.  We rented a house right on the beach for a week, and just enjoyed each other.

We even borrowed a dog!  We took Annie, Corey's parents dog who the girls just adore.  Fun was had by all, but we learned to not let a dog go crazy drinking the salt water.  Makes for nasty messes to clean up afterwards!

We have been to Lincoln City many times, but had never discovered the tide pools there.  So much fun to see all the creatures and find treasures when the tide is out!

The view from our beach house, just breathtaking.
Lily and Aubrey even did the dishes for me :)

We all had so much fun on the trip, we decided to finish it off with letting Lily and Aubrey get their ears pierced.  This wasn't something we thought they would do until they were older, so was pretty special.  Lily was all smiles through her piercing.

Aubrey wasn't quite as jazzed about the piercing part, but rallied through with a bear for snuggles.

Back at the beach house, sweet Annie letting Hadley lounge on her.

Here the girls are working away at sharpening pencils in prep for the first day of school.  Lily will be going into second grade this year!

Aubrey will be going into Kindergarten!
First day of Kindergarten!!!  Oh my, I'm not ready for this.

Oh I just love this girl.  You just see her zest for life in everything she does!
My sweet Lily on her first day of second grade.  She was not as up for pictures this morning.

First official bus ride of the season.  Now for me to hop in the car and get to the school in time to see the get off the bus!
Whew, made it!

Getting ready for her first day...
Our month of August was crazy busy, but so much fun.  Love me little family!!!
