We are seriously still in disbelief that Lily is already five years old. I have so many stories I could share about what a sweet, kind, wonderful daughter she is. I will share a few of those, but first are some pictures of her birthday party. She had been planning it for months, who she wanted to invite, were she wanted it at, what kind of cake, etc. We had her party at the local gymnastics place here in town, same as last year. Wanted to give Lily, as well as Aubrey a really fun special day. Soon their world will be rocked by their new sisters entrance. Was a great day!

The birthday cake, didn't hold up to well for transport. Still tasted good though!

One of the many things I love about our Lily Bean. Even a princess card makes her smile. When my Dad came over her brought the girls each a new necklace. Later she saw his birthday package for her and she said "but Grandpa, you already gave me your present."

The kiddos all lined up to listen to the rules before the craziness started!

The swings were definitely Lily's favorite. 3 kids at a time swirling and spinning to their hearts content. I had to look away to not get dizzy myself!

The look on Lily's face when she first got on the bunjee was pure panic. She warmed up quickly, but never wanted to go more than a small jump in the air.

Aubrey on the other hand loved this. She kept leaning back like she was going to flip herself over. The instructor even commented that she showed no fear, don't I know it!

Of course jumping into the foam pit is always lots of fun. Some of the kiddos got lost in there!

The other night after coming home from work I listened outside the girls door and it was silent. I assumed they were both sleeping so got ready for bed and did the same. Around 9 we hear sobbing coming from the bedroom. Corey goes in and comes back to the bedroom with Lily in his arms, who is just in tears. He puts her in my arms and she is smothering me with kisses and hugs. We snuggle for a few minutes, while I am sucking up all this love that so easily comes from her. I then talk to her about what will happen the next day. That I had one more day of work, they would go to daycare, but the next day we would all be home together as a family. Her response, in such an anguished voice, "I don't think I can make it one more day."
We love you so much our sweet Lily. You are so sensitive and kind. A heart of gold with an extra serving of quirkiness.
