Life is beautiful

How is it that I have lived in Vancouver for 10 years, yet this is the first year I made it to the lilac festival which is just 15 minutes away? Lilacs are one of my favorite flowers, their fragrance is absolutely heavenly. We had a fantastic time just running around, enjoying the beauty of our surroundings.
There is a tulip festival right down the road from the Lilac gardens. Sadly we didn't have enough time this morning to partake, but sure hope we can get there soon to enjoy their beauty. The rain around here drives me crazy sometimes, but the beauty around us so makes up for it!!!
