Aubrey's own haircut

Our little sneaker. I should have guessed something was up that morning when Aubrey was adamant about brushed her own hair, and didn't want me touching it at all. The day was busy as usual, with an extra worry as this occurred the day of Lily's head trauma at school. All day long I kept looking at Aubrey, trying to figure out what was going on. I realized that night as I was brushing her teeth, I looked closer at her hair and realized why she looked so off all day long. She had given herself a mullet. She had chopped of hair on both sides of her head, just leaving a few long strands in the back.
We were alone in the bathroom together, Aubrey and I. I asked her if she cut her hair, which she sheepishly admitted. Then states "don't tell Corey!" Later as Corey was talking to her about it, asking her why she cut her hair, her reply was "sometimes my brain makes me do things!"
Yikes, that reply totally cracks me up, but scares me a little as well.
Never a dull moment in this household. Above is the beautiful blonde hair that she chopped off, dug out of the garbage can in their room. I never did get a picture of her head. The next day I pulled the few strands into a ponytail, until Corey took her to the salon to get it fixed.
