Life

We were lucky enough to have one of my wonderful Aunts and beautiful nieces stay with us for a night. Shame on me yet again for not taking pictures. I snapped a couple because Lily was getting some very sweet snuggling in with her Auntie Sharry, which as you can tell was so happy her pics were being taken. We love you guys!!!

I know this is awful, but was also just so hilarious I had to snap a picture before we could help her escape. As usual Aubs decided to crawl through something, and got herself stuck. As you can tell she was not happy about it at all!
The day we got back from the beach this last weekend it was a wonderful 90+ degree day. We changed into our suits and played the day away. Here's my wonderful whitie husband going down the slip and slide, and breaking it the following trip down (also broke one of the girls chairs in the pool shortly after). He has been banned from the kids toys for awhile =)

Banner Cheese Factory

On our way home we stopped at Blue Heron Cheese Company. Hands down would recommend it over Tillamook Factory. Granted we had some awesome ice cream cones at Tillamook on our way in, but the crowds were absolutely insane. Blue Heron and a delicious deli, lots of homemade tasty treats, and best of all a petting arena which was obviously a huge hit, and you can also get ice cream there!

Of course there's Aubs the climber!
We bought 2 little bags of food for the girls to feed the animals. Within the first 10 seconds of us being out there though one of the goats grabbed ahold of one of the bags and ate the food bag and all, was hilarious!

My animals!

Exhausted after days of play the girls passed out almost the entire ride home, was so wonderful!

Cape Meares

For this Fourth of July we decided to take a trip to the beach. Went to Cape Meares which is just out of Tillamook, and stayed in a house about 4 blocks from the beach. Lily was really wanting it to be our new home, oh so tempting!
The dog that Lily had in her arms was one from the beach house. As you all know Lily as well as Aubs have their special animals that are pretty much with them at all times. Lily found this dog right away at the house, and it kind of took Toto's place over the weekend. I thought it would be a disaster when we left and had to leave it behind. I was picturing overnighting one off of ebay and having a screaming daughter all night, but she took the loss quite well and Toto is now back to the center of her world.

The town of Cape Meares consists of a few streets and houses, that's it. No gas station or quick stop even. The town closes their streets down on the 4th though for a parade. People put on costumes, kids ride their bikes, etc and go marching down the road. Here is my peeps waiting in anticipation for the grand parade to start.

Lily is so not my daredevil, not really ever a climber either, Aubs wins those arenas. However, once Lily saw those logs at the beach she made a bee-line for them and became a climbing machine.

I love the angle of this pic, makes her look like she is climbing straight up with the wind trying to stop her.

Ah Aubs!

This was a trail from our beach house that sort of lead to the beach. Lily loved it though, said we were walking through the jungle!

More berry picking

This is one of the blueberry bushes in the backyard. It filled my heart with so much warmth when Lily belted out with such excitement, "Mommy the blueberry bush in our garden is ready!"

Aubs with her buddy Joes. This is a pretty common place for her to be (in the dirt that is, especially in the strawberry patch). At home if you don't see Aubs when your outside you can bet that she is sitting in the strawberry patch scouring for berries and eating dirt, delicious!

The girls relaxing and having a picnic lunch after another day of berry picking. This was one of the last days of strawberry picking. Have been raspberry picking once and plan to go again tomorrow actually, then hopefully onto blueberries. It's just so relaxing to me, the girls have fun with it, and you come home with such amazing fruit.
