Happy Friday!

Orchid blooms are just so gorgeous. My sweet sister Jamie got me this one last year shortly after Aubs was born. Somehow I managed not to kill it, and it has actually started to bloom again. It makes me smile when I look at it, can't believe how much life changes in a years time. Life is just beautiful, Happy Friday everyone!
Hmm, I think Lily has me fooled when she goes in to give Lily a hug. It really could almost be a strangle, must ponder this further. No wonder why Aubs was trying to take down her little buddy Joe the other day. I came in once and she was literally laying on top of him, then another time she pulled him into her very fiercly for what appeared to be a kiss, hmmm....

Play and friends

These two kids crack me up. This is Lily's good buddy Jake.

Again Jake and Lily sitting by each other, all on their own doing. Also a sweet friend Amy and her adorable son Jack, who we were lucky to run into at work while celebrating a coworkers birthday.
Ah, this just cracks me up. Lily was adament that Aubrey wear a princess dress like her. Aubrey is so into it can't you tell. She kept screaming as she got tangled in her dress, no time for such things!
We went over to watch Jen make an amazing cake, and the kiddos just had to get some fresh air. The girls borrowed a couple pairs of Jake's shoes and out they went.

We pinned Lily's dress up so it wouldn't get all muddy, is so big on her it drags the ground. This one is her "Sleeping Duddy dress".

So darn sweet!

I did it!

As posted on a recent post, this is a new space consumer in our house. The girls love it, but the fabric decor was pretty bad. I am not much of a seamstress, but figured my attempt would be better than what was up.

TADA! Granted it would have been better if I would have actually taken the time to measure, but besides those minor details I love it. I know it's the girls playhouse, and they could care less, but if it is in a major part of the house that I want to enjoy it a bit as well!

Planting flowers

In between rain showers yesterday the girls and I had fun planting flowers. Something so relaxing about digging in the dirt. The girls had a lot of fun with it. Am hoping the plants will survive the shock of little toddler hands helping plant and pick while I wasn't watching.

What's new

Playtime between the girls is improving on a daily basis. Above is an activity they both love, Lily riding on her car while Aubrey pushes her. They get going so fast sometimes, is a bit scary to watch.
Lily has really been into picking out her own clothes and trying to dress herself. What made this outfit choice even better was the blue flowered shirt underneath the dress, my little fashion queen!
We got worms!
Maybe I should clarify that, we do have worms in that cedar bin for vermicomposting. It makes "liquid gold", which will hopefully help me this summer in my first gardening attempt.

Poor Aubs

Yesterday, Aubrey was having a pretty rough morning. This girl is always on the go, and is so incredibly stubborn and determined. Yesterday she somehow got herself stuck between their table set and their kitchen and scratched up her chin really well. Within the next hour she had fallen over backwards twice off various toys and hit her head, hard not to I guess when it is so large =).

Because I was taking a pic of Aubs war wounds Lily needed me to take a pic of hers. It is a pink mark on her right foot from her pink glitter shoes that she has to wear everywere even though they are a size to big!Isn't it obvious what this pic is, puppy also had a wound and needed his picture taken also, gosh I love these girls!

The castle

We gave Lily her big birthday present a little early, and although huge and honestly a bit of an eyesore, the girls love it. I plan to make new curtains one of these days to spruce it up a bit, not that the girls care. Has been a huge hit for both the girls. I actually got to drink a whole cup of tea in there myself the other day while drinking tea with the girls and hiding from monsters!
