Children's Museum

She looks way cuter in scrubs than I do, that's for sure. Oh, the green bandaid Lily has on her forehead was one that she just had to have after hitting her head on her bed. She actually hit the top of her head, but couldn't put a bandaid there so wanted it on her forehead. That was about a week ago, but we can't take it off because it's still hurting. She is so quirky!We are now members of the Children's Museum in Portland. Had to have something else to get us out of the house on some of these dreary days. We can take extra people with us, so give us a call if you want to brush some alligator teeth!

rain=indoors=crafts

Lots of rain=lots of indoor time=lots of crafts. Fun, but painful on the clean up end. They start of so mellow, painting pictures of rainbows and dogs.
Then the hands start in. So we'll make some hand prints, no big deal. Just do a good handwashing afterwards, no biggy.When there is a silence in your house and you are in a different room than your kiddos, you know they're up to no good. Same thing when you are in another room than your kids and you hear them laughing hysterically.

Oh how I love the.....

Lily has been really interested in relationships between people (parents, grandparents, etc), and who came out of whom's belly. She asked me were my mommy was, so I had to tell her that she was dead and in heaven. After asking a few more questions, she said that maybe the doctor could fix her so she would get better. I had to explain that once people die they can't come back. She replied back, "your mommy's dead, what a bummer". The way she said it was so sweet, she was trying to show me sympathy. I was kind of sad with the conversation, and it really did make me feel better.
Shortly after we got home we were sitting in the bathroom, Lily on the pot, me on the floor. Her face got all red and scrunched up. She looks at me with such a pitiful little face and says
"I got THE diarrhea momma" So hilarious. Not just diarrhea, but "THE" diarrhea.
I love it when I actually do capture the moments were the girls are laughing and enjoying each other, proof that I'm not just hallucinating those brief moments in time! Actually Aubs always adores Lily, asks for her constantly if she's not around. I know Lily really loves Aubs too, but probably needs more of a break than she gets from sisterhood.
The joy that these two beautiful girls give me is beyond anything I can describe. I am so thankful to have you girls in my life, I am a lucky momma!
How do you say no to that? All the time actually!
One of their favorite hiding places for hide and seek (under the futon).
