Our Aubs

As many of you know, last week Aubrey was pretty sick with bronchiolitis and a possible pneumonia. She is on the mend now still sounding junky but back to her fiesty little self. I swear this little girl is so opinionated and stubborn. It just cracks us up at this point, but we know she will always have us on our toes. She is also goofy and sweet with a smile that makes me melt.

The pink animal you see in many of her photos is her special animal, maybe a giraffe/horse/cow? It is her special baby that she carries everywere, and we have discovered cannot sleep without.

Oh, and Aubs is 13 months as of a couple days ago. She gives kisses and hugs, blows kisses, waves hi, says momma and dadda and mi for milk while using the milk sign, she dances, and is RUNNING through the house.

I just want to take a moment to say thank you to all of our friends and family for your love and support. It means so much to us. We have so much to be so thankful for and feel so truely blessed.

It's a ;ove dislike relationship in seconds

Now that Aubs is ambulatory (and I am talking running now), her and Lily have really started to have fun with each other. Of course that also goes the other direction pretty quickly, but is really sweet to watch them together when they are having fun. Aubrey actually stayed with Grandma while I worked the past 2 nights to avoid daycare with Aubrey and Lily cried wanting her sister.

The horse

Apparently Aubs is an animal lover as well! Aubrey's favorite part seems to be when he sings, as she is a huge music lover. She sways back and forth to his catchy tune.

Are these my girls?

I'm not sure what is going on in this house this morning, maybe something was blown in with the high winds or got sprinkled in with all the rain. This morning for breakfast we had eggs and toast. We were all sitting at the table, with Lily and Aubs next to each other as usual. Lily looks over at Aubs plate, which was pretty empty, and then tells me, and I quote "Aubrey needs more bread please mommy".
Shortly after it is time for Aubs nap, and Lily asks to lay down with her to snuggle and take a nap. I put them in the crib together and went to grab some laundry to put away. I assumed there would be crying right away and that Lily would want to get out. Instead they started bouncing in the bed and laughing at each other. I was actually able to get all of Aubs clothes put away, and clean up a few misc. things.
Not sure what is going on with these girls, and sure it won't last long, but I am digging it!!
I love the looks on their faces, such hams!

Kids at play

The girls and I were able to celebrate a special friends birthday yesterday. Sadly I only snapped a couple pictures, but they both crack me up. I love in the top pic how the kids tend to clump together yet each have their seperate thing they are doing. They want to be close, but not to close.
Here Aubs and little Joey are just chattin it up, I think they have their own form of communication.

the traveling horse

Last Spring when we went to my Dad's house he had his horse that Lily got to feed and ride. Since then we have went there a few times and each time she remembers the horse. For Christmas Dad got her a rocking horse, who also happens to talk. Horse has been in time out a few times for biting her fingers. Even though it is a rocking horse, she gets going with so much momentum that she actually does ride him around the house.

Aubrey walking!!!!

So I knew I was behind on my posts the other day, so got a bunch uploaded. I forgot to add though one of the momentous occasions in Aubs little life. She is a full fledged walker now, and looks so stinkin cute doing it. Lily was 16 months and 1 week to be exact before she walked, so to see my little baby toddling around is absolutely hilarious. Her first few steps were about a week before her birthday, with her getting more daring my the minute. Now she is all over this house (and all over in the toilet when I forget to shut the door).

Happy First Birthday Aubrey!!

Happy First Birthday my sweet little baby. Words cannot even begin to describe the joy that you have brought into my life.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

My post is a little backwards, as nothing is seeming to cooperate today.
We celebrated on Christmas Eve by having some of our dearest friends over. The girls helped us make pizza's, the boys got to play some guitar hero, and we were in bed by 10 pm (although awake a lot of the night because of fireworks).
Lily leaving her note for Santa Claus, along with cookies and milk and carrots for the reindeer.

No worries, it's just sparkling cider. She had to have her special glass to though, it's only fair.

These pictures were actually taken Christmas Eve. Thankfully they were taken then by my father-in-law, otherwise we would have had no pictures. After a huge turkey dinner we went into the family room and the girls got to unwrap their presents from Grandpa and Grandma. I took pictures on my camera, and believe after that I set the camera on the sofa and Corey and I went to clean up the disaster of a kitchen that follows a delicious turkey dinner. The camera diseappeared as quickly as the turkey dinner did. We searched for the camera for a good hour, turned the house upside down, and I spent the entire night playing the sequence of events in my head. The camera has yet to turn up, we have a loaner so we don't miss anymore precious moments. Lily must have found a really good hiding spot!
I guess the New Years resolution needed is to be more mindful of were I set things down!
