random stories and pics

Smile, everyone say cheese!

A moment of peace and play (prior to the realization that sand flies pretty easily), then they both end up with it in their eyes. It's nice though when I get those brief glimpses of what future play will hopefully be between them.
The girls actually had their first real interactive game between them the other day, it was so darn cute. We were in the bathroom (a place we still spend a large portion of our day in). There was a tennis ball in the bathroom (not at all unusual to have random toys around the hosue). The girls were actually rolling it back and forth between each other. It of course took some encouragement at times for them to roll it back and forth, but they were. It was so stinkin cute, as Aubrey would get so excited in anticipation. She would clench her whole body up and let out these loud squeals. I couldn't capture it on camera however, was having to much fun watching them, and the peace wouldn't have existed if I had left.

Lily marker hands, I guess olives aren't the only thing you can do this with.

This was one of those priceless moments that I will always remember. Lily came up to me with her binoculars and told me she was pumping. That wasn't even something I was doing at that moment, so hilarious. Sad though that her binoculars are almost at belly level, unfortunately a very realistic impersonation.

pumpkin patch number 2

Ahh, children of the corn!

Lily and I went to the pumpkin patch (I know second time in one week, not bad huh). This time though we stayed here in town and went with friends. For those of you in Vancouver I would really recommend Joe's Farm on 112th, very quaint atmosphere with free/cheap activities for the kids.

Riding on the tractor, munching on a complimentary apple which was seriously like a desert.

Mom, I know I already have 3 pumpkins at home, but I got dibbs on this one.

Crocodile boots, I think that is what all the firefighters should wear. Put a little humor into their grueling days!
Just cracks me up how both girls (the girl in orange was just another girl at the patch), are looking at the boys in their dashing uniforms.

the crafting assembly line

Here we have the crafting assembly line in the works. Think it will be a big money maker for us next year!
The kiddos in action.

Aubs did put her fingers in her mouth a couple times, but wasn't to bad, and she had a blast along with the others.

Pinks a good color for you Jack!Even little Joe took one for the team!

Look at those coy little smiles, so stinkin cute!

Mastered the stairs!

We are in for it now. Aubs has figured out how to climb up the stairs, down though not so much (note the red mark on her forehead). Actually no, the red mark wasn't from that, was from her pulling a magnetic toy off the fridge and hitting herself in the face with it.

Pumpkin patch #1

This picture doesn't do the tree justice. Was so big and beautiful, and cut out of it was room for vehicles to drive through.
Pics below are from our trip to Sauvie Island pumpkin patch this past weekend.
