Happy Easter!

This was hilarious. Lily rarely gets any sweets. Sadly she has her mommy's sweet tooth so, so scarfs them down and is ready for more. Poor D had a disappearing piece of cake so was forced to shove it all in her mouth so she could enjoy it.

Daddies girls

Gorgeous grins

Aunt Jamie was able to get some gorgeous grins and conversation from Aubrey, even though she has her first cold right now.

dyeing easter eggs

Hard to believe but there was enough dye left after decorating Lily's hands to get the eggs colored!
This is my house now on a daily basis. Not the egg coloring of course, but Lily leaves one mess to create another! We had a lot of fun coloring eggs though, so was worth the extra elbow grease.

Our girls

Lily is so sweet with Aubrey. I just love watching Lily with her, and Aubrey is really starting to get fascinated with her big sis.

OK Aubrey, it's my turn now!

baby tots

Lily had her first baby tots class. It is a mix of free play which includes obstacles, balance beams, slides, music, etc. As you can see she had a blast.

old but now new again toys

Aubrey loves standing up so we thought she might enjoy the bouncer or exersaucer. They got the approval stamp from Lily who tried them out for Aubrey while she was napping. She didn't want to get out of them, and waved bye-bye to them when we left to go grocery shopping. Will post pics of Aubrey on her new toys once she gets a chance to try them out!

12 weeks old

It's hard to believe how much Aubrey has grown, 12 weeks old now! She has such a beautiful smile, although I can never seem to capture it. Once the camera gets near her the smile disappears and she begins to study the camera. I promise you though they are gorgeous, and I will make a real effort to capture their beauty for your enjoyment. She is also quite the chatter bug. We just got her exersaucer and jumper out, as she absolutely loves to stand when you are holding her.

A visit with Papa Harvey

We took our first road trip this past weekend to visit my Dad. The girls both did really well, minus one little melt down from Aubrey, thankfully we were close to home. Corey had a lot of fun riding the 4 wheeler up into the hills, although the ride down looked really hairy from my end. I did not go for a ride, enjoy my feet on the ground controlling me. Lily has happy to sit on the broken down rider mower, wanted nothing to do with the 4 wheeler-which was just fine by me. Had a really nice visit, I just hate how far away most of our family is!

layering?

Lily stumbled across a new shirt of mine the other day that she absolutely had to wear. Went all the way down to the ground on her, was very cute. Then she decided that she had to wear one of Aubrey's jackets as well. She definitely has her own sense of style, often times she is adament about picking out herself what she is going to wear.

Amazing blue eyes

One of the things I have always loved about my wonderful husband are his big beautiful blue eyes. He has the longest eye lashes as well, which is so unfair. Am so happy though that Lily has inherited her pretty blues from her Daddy, long lashes included.

2 months old

Aubrey is already 2 months old as of last week. Meant to post this then, but a little behind on many things at the moment. We had her 2 month check-up and she is right on track. She gives us the most beautiful smiles, loves to chat with us, and is so strong already. She weighed in at 12 pounds 11 ounces and is 23 1/2 inches long. This puts her in the 90th percentile on all measurements, so a nice healthy little girl, who has already melted out hearts.
