My first swim day!!

Today was my first swim class and it was a lot of fun. I splashed around a bit, floated on my back with Mommy's help, and even purposefully put my face in the water a couple times. That seemed to really surprise Mommy, along with me trying to drink the water.

My first finger food experience

You know those people that you see eating foods that just can't put 1 thing in their mouth, instead have to shove in as many as they can. Well, that was Lily with her first eating experiment using her pincer grasps. She was so proud of herself that she could pick 1 piece of food up, why not see how many she could get in her hand/mouth at 1 time. Not much really went into the mouth, and she is still not ready for chunky food yet. However, these seem to be a good first step as they dissolve in the mouth.

My first barrette

I am growing some hair now!!! Mommy put a pretty barrette in today, and it actually stayed clipped to the hair. I didn't even pull it out, she must have been quite sneaky putting it in my hair.

My new sippy cups

We got Lily new sippy cups this weekend, and as you can see it was a big hit. They have big straws in them, which she seemed to like for a gumming toy as much as she enjoyed drinking from it.

cousin time

I had a nice time this weekend spending time with family that I don't get to see near as often as I would like. Here I am hanging out with my Uncle Trey and cousin Delaney.

My first snow day

We had a fun weekend getaway near White Pass. I got to ride in a sled and try out my new pack for the first time. It was a lot of fun, but got cold very quickly.

Bad hair day

Lily must have been electrically charged this day as every time the pillow came near her head her hair would stand straight up.

Lily freaks out when this is used in her nose, yet still she wants it in her mouth.


Long gone are the days were a full glass of water is safe next to Lily. She now has to check everything out with her hands as well as mouth. One of her favorites is all the creams and lotions at her diaper changing post. I guess I better do some rearranging.

I'm workin on it

No crawling yet, but I am working on it. Getting quite frustrated too, as their is so much I see that I want to do.

My farming game

One of our new favortie toys is this fridge farm game. Lily likes to play with the animals and hear them talk to her. Mommy likes it as she was actually able to make a dinner and watch Lily happily play away, thank you Auntie Mendhy.

Crib adventures

Up until the last week or so, I would occasionally kick my legs and wiggle enough were I would face sideways or backwards in my crib. As you all know I despise being on my tummy so rarely choose to roll from my back to my stomach. However, the past week or so I have decided that I need to get mobile, so have started becoming quite adventurous in exploring my crib. (When Lily goes down for her naps we lay her in the opposite direction she is in all these photos.)

I cannot crawl yet, but I can slide backwards on the wood floors. In a bit of a procarious position presently as you can see.

Thank goodness for baths

Every evening Lily goes directly from the dinner table to the bathtub to clean off all the tasty leftovers. Thankfully she really enjoys bathtime. Lately she has started to dunk her face underwater. She then comes up from the water with this half startled half cheesy smile face. I have yet to get a picture of it as I am as startled as she is by this.
